The acquisition of the 472-hectare block, located in Salumber, Rajasthan, marks a significant step in Hindustan Zinc’s strategy to expand its presence in the precious metals sector.

The block spans 472 hectares and is currently at the G3 level of exploration, with an estimated 1.74 million tonnes (mt) of resources with 1.63 grams per tonne (g/t) gold.

“Securing the Dugocha Gold Block is a testament to our prowess in strategic mineral exploration,” said Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc.

“This acquisition not only enhances our precious metals portfolio but also reinforces our ability to deliver long-term value to our shareholders and stakeholders.”

The company said the win is aligned with Hindustan Zinc’s long-term strategy of securing high-quality assets with strong mining potential.
