HDFC Bank on Tuesday disclosed that its advances showed a growth of around 16.3 per cent to Rs 12.6 lakh crore as of December 31, 2021 compared with the year-ago period, while its deposits rose 13.8 per cent.
The largest private sector lender said this in its business update for the third quarter ended December 31, 2021. Its board is set to meet on January 15 to consider the quarterly results.
HDFC Bank said in a regulatory filing that while its advances aggregated to Rs 12.6 lakh crore as of December 31, 2021, over Rs 10.82 lakh crore as of December 31, 2020, it showed a rise of 5.1 per cent compared with Rs 11.98 lakh crore as of September 30, 2021.
The lender added that as per its internal business classification, retail loans grew around 13.5 per cent over December 31, 2020 and around 4.5 per cent on a sequential basis. Commercial & rural banking loans increased 29.5 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year.
