“Having witnessed how the Internet has transformed businesses, and having collaborated closely with product teams to deliver exceptional value to our customers, I'm energised by this incredible opportunity,” said Google’s new country manager and vice-president in LinkedIn.

India fined the search giant $162 million in 2022 for anti-competitive practices on Android. Days later, it imposed another $113 million fine for anti-competitive practices concerning Play Store.

India remains a key overseas market for Google where it has spent billions to help millions of Indians to come online.
