Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday said markets for the first time had kept up the positive pace for a whole week.
“Earlier markets being positive and going up for a few hours or a day would itself be a good message. All aspects of the market have seen the budget with positivity and kept the spirit up for a whole week. It’s not just a 1 or 2 per cent increase in performance. I understand there is an 11 per cent increase,” she said.
She was speaking at a session organised by Indian Chamber of Commerce.
