The decision comes in the wake of the relaxations put in place by the government on the countrywide lockdown and the necessary permissions granted by local authorities, the company said.

Only the essential staff will come to work at all the other facilities and corporate offices, observing social distancing and all prescribed safety measures. The remaining employees across all locations in India will continue to Work from Home (WFH) till further notice.

Besides Haryana and Uttarakhand, the company has plants at Neemrana (Rajasthan), Halol (Gujarat) and Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh).

Hero MotoCorp said its Jaipur-based R&D facility — Centre of Innovation and Technology — has also received the necessary permission to reopen.

Meanwhile, tyre maker Ceat on Monday said it has partially resumed operations at its facilities in Maharashtra and Gujarat with restricted movement of manpower.

App cabs

App cab operators Uber and Ola have resumed operations in cities and districts designated as green and orange zones from Monday in compliance with government regulations.

Uber is servicing seven cities in green zone and 18 cities in orange zones. Ola is resuming services in 100-plus cities in the green and orange zones across the country.
