Tianneng Holding Group, a China-based battery manufacturer, is expanding its presence in India.
The company had set up its first office in Noida in October last year and is planning offices in Hyderabad and Bangalore by the end of the next year.
Tianneng manufactures lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries in China and sells them in India and other countries.
Based out of Zhejiang, the company distributes its products through channel partners and to battery pack makers in India.
It sells both NMC (nickel-manganese-cobalt) Li-Ion battery cells and LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery cells to battery pack manufacturers such as Siegen Robotic and Cygni Energy, which in return supply batteries toAmpere Vehicles, said a group representative present at the16th Electric Vehicle Expo atthe Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan.
“In FY2022 till date, we have sold nine million Lithium-Ion battery cells in India,” said the spokesperson.
“With the EV industry expanding in India, we are focussing on the cell business exclusively,” he added.
“Tianneng is a global new energy company that manufactures environment-friendly batteries for various industries since it was established in 1986,” he added.
The company has 16 production bases in seven provinces in China, including Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan,Guizhou, Shandong and Jiangxi.
