Power producer and distributor CESC Ltd has reported flat profits and revenues from operation in the third quarter of the fiscal.
Revenue from operations was up 1.5 per cent from the same period in 2020 to Rs 2,826 crore on a consolidated basis, while profit after tax remained at Rs 340 crore compared with Rs 338 crore a year ago.
On a standalone basis, which primarily involves the Calcutta licence area, revenue from operations and profits for the period were stagnant too.
Revenue from operations and profit stood at Rs 1,662 crore and Rs 184 crore, respectively in the December quarter of 2021-22. In the same period last year, revenue was Rs 1,659 crore while profit was Rs 182 crore.
The board of the company declared an interim dividend of Rs 4.5 a share of face value Re 1 (450 per cent).
