Doctors lead RG Kar protest rally through Calcutta amid ongoing hunger strike

Protest march makes its way from Sodepur in the suburbs to Esplanade in the heart of Calcutta

Junior doctors participate in the ‘Yatra for Justice’ from Sodepur on Saturday to demand justice for their colleague who was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College on August 9, and a total clean-up of the state healthcare system.

The rally concludes at Esplanade at around 9:30 pm, where the junior doctors have been on hunger strike for over 324 hours.
