Bata India on Monday reported a consolidated net profit of ₹51.97 crore for the quarter ended September 30, up 53 per cent from ₹34 crore a year ago.
Revenue from operations was ₹837.14 crore, up 2.2 per cent from ₹819.11 crore a year ago.
“Despite market headwinds and subdued consumption, we saw some recovery in our growth trajectory through the quarter backed by focused execution of strategic initiatives. Premium products are showing robust growth and increased contribution to our revenue mix,” said Gunjan Shah, MD and CEO, Bata India.
“We are optimistic about consumption recovery in the coming quarters, backed by festive season momentum and our market positioning,” said Shah.
The company has a network of 1966 stores and has renovated 48 stores this year.
“Our conscious efforts on franchise model expansion are showing good results.”
