“We aim to have a revenue of around Rs 8,000 crore over the next 4-5 years. Aiwa, established in 1951 in Japan, has partnered Dixon Technologies to make television sets in India.

He said the chip situation has improved and the firm’s strong presence in Taiwan would help in meeting the demands of the Indian consumers. “Television will be our anchor product. Our smart TVs are Google certified.

"We will sell only through offline retailers initially,” Mehta said. He said the company had launched its audio products and over the next five years would increase the product range to air-conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines.
