Adani app hosts Cleartrip

The Adanis have brought Cleartrip onto its consumer app Adani One. The app was launched in December, with the Ahmedabad-based group’s airport business the first vertical on the app.

In Adani One, users will be able to book flights, check flight status, do a cab booking and utilise its “Pranaam Service’’ under which it lets passengers or their relatives and friends to choose from an array of services such as lounge access, dedicated porter for check-in baggage assistance, apart from complete assistance to guests arriving, departing or transiting through its airports.

The Adani group is reportedly planning to invest in a fleet of passenger vehicles that may be listed on ride-hailing platforms Ola and Uber.

Cleartrip said that it will offer expertise in the domain of domestic and international flight bookings to Adani One.

Launched in July 2006, Cleartrip is an online travel technology company. In April 2021, Flipkart acquired 100 per cent of its shareholding. Subsequently in October 2021, Adani Enterprises acquired a significant minority stake in the company.

Sources said through the tie-up, Adani One will be able to offer superior experience to customers under one roof at a time the travel industry has seen a major revival. When the Adani group had acquired a significant minority stake in Cleartrip, it had said that the latter will serve as its online travel aggregator partner.

“At Cleartrip, we are constantly devising new ways to reach our customers and make travel a seamless and hassle-free experience. By onboarding ourselves on the Adani One platform, we will make travel accessible to a larger demographic. This venture signals the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for us,’’ Ayyappan R, Cleartrip CEO, said.

Nitin Sethi, chief digital officer, Adani Digital Labs, said the airport business is expected to contribute to the evolution of the platform as it is likely to grow at twice the speed.
