More than 50 technology start-ups from Bengal across varying areas of operations may make a pitch before mentors and investors at the Bengal Entrepreneurs’ Summit on Technology organised by Nasscom 10000 Start-ups on January 19 in the city.
Sanjoy Chatterjee, chairman of the eastern regional council, Nasscom, said on Wednesday that the event, to be held at Smart Connect, a multi-use facility developed by Hidco in New Town, is expected to attract participation from over 400 start-ups, incubators, investors and partners from consulates to help startups looking to go abroad.
Firms from agritech, fintech, health tech, cybersecurity, data analytics and blockchain could participate.
“With MNCs setting up base in Calcutta, we at Nasscom feel that it’s the right opportunity to showcase the summit on technology in the city by bringing product and associated entrepreneurs, software start-ups, venture capitalists, academicians and angel investors who are passionate about the state,” he said.
