A documentary exploring the early life, success and struggles of Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is set to stream on Netflix from December 20, the streamer announced on Friday. It is titled Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous.

“The name you know, the story you don’t. Witness the rise of a legend who changed the face of Indian music forever 🤎 Watch Yo Yo Honey Singh: Famous on 20 December, only on Netflix,” the streamer wrote on Instagram alongside the poster featuring the Brown Rang singer.

Directed by Mozez Singh and backed by Sikhya Entertainment, the documentary promises to offer an exclusive look into the life of the artiste, revealing the real Honey aka Hirdesh Singh, the man behind the headlines.

“Capturing Honey Singh’s journey has been an incredible experience. He is a fascinating man who has already lived so many lifetimes in this one life. I feel honoured and privileged to be bringing a documentary alongside the Oscar-winning Sikhya and to have been given full access to Honey Singh’s world. I’m so thankful that he trusted me with his life story,” said director Mozez Singh.

This docu feature highlights his evolution, his lasting impact on popular culture, and a lot of stories that no one has ever heard before,” he added.

Yo Yo Honey Singh's latest release is the single Payal, which features actress Nora Fatehi. The artiste is also gearing up for the release of his upcoming single Rooh, set to release this December.
