It is heartening to see that society has been placing importance on the education of the girl child and have been ensuring that they at least continue their education up to the secondary level.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has announced the results of the Madhyamik Pariksha (Class 10) 2023 today, 19 May at 12 noon. The percentage of successful regular candidates for this year stands at 86.15%.

Students who appeared for the examinations can check their WB Madhyamik Result 2023 by visiting the official websites- wbbse.wb.gov.in and wbresults.nic.in or on the Mobile App ‘Madhyamik Results 2023’ available on Google Play Store. The result link has now been made active on the official websites. Additionally, they can also check their results below by entering their roll number and date of birth.

The total number of students who appeared for the Madhyamik Pariksha (Class 10) this year is 6,82,321. Out of this, the total number of male candidates is 3,06,253 and the number of female candidates stands at 3,76,068. Statistically, there were 22.8% more female examinees than male examinees. Thus, indicating a significant rise in the number of female candidates.

Maintaining the winning streak, the board announced at the press conference, that the topper from West Bengal is a girl named Debdutta Majhi from Katwa Durgadasi Chaudhurani Girls High School, Purba Burdwan. She has scored a total of 697 out of 700 - 99.57%.

It is heartening to see that society has been placing importance on the education of the girl child and have been ensuring that they at least continue their education up to the secondary level.

Additionally, the number of female minority candidates has also outnumbered their male counterparts by 49,878.

School education is taken seriously among all sects in West Bengal and the numbers this year for the WBBSE West Bengal Madhyamik Result have proven it right.

The success rate among candidates of the Scheduled caste category is 82.88% and among candidates of the Scheduled tribe category is 76.03%.

Also, the pass percentage for children with special needs (CWSN) is at 88.81% this year. This overwhelming success rate of the children proves that the urge for education is universally present among all schoolgoers in West Bengal.

The Board conducted Madhyamik Pariksha in 7 compulsory subjects, 12 First Languages, 3 Second Languages and 47 Optional Elective Subjects only.
