DPS Ruby Park hosts Annual Art Exhibition at ICCR Abanindranath Gallery

Delhi Public School, Ruby Park recently hosted its Annual Art exhibition at the prestigious ICCR Abanindranath Gallery. The exhibition was held from December 13 to December 15, 2024, with the aim of celebrating the myriad hues of various art forms and their impressive artistic expressions.

The exhibition showcased 215 paintings by students featuring diverse Art forms such as Acrylic on Canvas, Water colour, Pastel, Mixed Media and Linocut Prints.

The event was inaugurated by Principal Joyoti Chaudhuri and members of the Management. Bimal Kundu- an eminent sculptor, Sounak Chacraverti- eminent art curator and archivist and Parag Roy- Professor at Rabindra Bharati University were the guests of honour.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp as the school choir rendered the welcome song. The guests of honour were deeply impressed with the creative genius of the young children. Their words of wisdom and encouragement inspired the young artists of the school and reaffirmed the importance of fostering creativity.

Parents and visitors appreciated the effort put in by the students and lauded the guidance and effort of the Art teachers in encouraging their students to develop a keen eye for detail. Five students were honoured with prestigious awards, celebrating their exceptional artistic skills.

As Aristotle said, 'The aim of art is not to represent the outward appearance of things, but their inner significance', the Annual Art Exhibition reflected the talent and dedication of the students and their mentors in nurturing creativity and holistic learning.
