One person dead, two others missing after helicopter crashes into ocean off Hawaiian island of Kauai

One person is dead and two others are missing after a helicopter crashed into the ocean off the island of Kauai, according to the Kauai Police Department.

Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Corinne Zilnicki says a hiker reported witnessing the crash off the Na Pali Coast on Thursday.

The Federal Aviation Administration says three people were on board the Robinson R44 helicopter.

The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
