A Calcutta High Court judge had to leave his courtroom on Monday after a section of lawyers laid siege before room number 13 to protest against some of his earlier orders.

The ensuing chaos forced Justice Rajasekhar Mantha to exit. This meant he could not preside over cases scheduled for hearings at his court on Monday. Sources claimed as manyas more than 300 cases were listed for Monday.
