A report related to the RG Kar rape and murder and attributed to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, which was in circulation among doctors on Monday, mentioned the detailed findings of the forensic examination on the victim.
The report mentioned the detailed observations and inferences shared by the forensic experts who conducted the test.
The report says the evidence of possible struggle by the victim against the assailant or the struggle between them was missing in the place where the woman’s body was found on August 9.
The findings, to some, raise doubts on whether the crime was committed at the spot in the seminar hall, on the third floor of the Emergency building at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, where the body was found.
The report mentions the exact condition in which the body was found. The “crime scene examination report” says in detail the renovation work in an adjoining room.
It speaks of the nature of the civil work undertaken and mentions that the demolished concrete material was not found at the spot.
Doctors holding a sit-in at Esplanade vowed to intensify their protests after the findings emerged.
