The classes will be organised in collaboration with the Centre’s Fit India Mission.

The mission will provide the live-streaming sessions which students can access on YouTube every day from April 30 to -May 15, the circular says.

Every session, to be conducted by experts, will start at 9.30am.

The council has asked the principals of all ICSE schools to convey the information to the students, teachers and parents.

Many schools have started online classes which are mostly held in the morning. The institutions will have to reschedule their online classes if they overlap with the live sessions on fitness, a principal said.

“The Council is pleased to inform you that it has entered into a collaboration with ‘Fit India Mission’ which has customised and developed special physical activities for the students of our affiliated schools. Fit India Mission will provide live sessions by experts covering a range of topics for holistic well-being of school going children, which will include simple actionable tips around basic exercises, nutrition, yoga & meditation, boosting immunity etc,” the CISCE circular read.

Apart from the yoga lessons, children will be given an introduction on meditation. The nutritionists will give them tips on what to eat, a principal said.
