BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla has said the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup encounter on October 24 cannot be cancelled as it is an "international commitment" with the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The rising demand for the game's cancellation was backed by Union Minister Giriraj Singh, who wanted the BCCI to 'reconsider' the encounter with the arch-rivals due to strained relations between the two countries.

"We strongly condemn the killings (J&K). Strict action should be taken against terror organisations. As far as the match is concerned, under ICC's international commitments you can't refuse to play against anyone. You have to play in ICC tournaments," Rajeev Shukla was quoted as saying by India Today.
