David Warner was a relieved man after Sunrisers Hyderabad confirmed their place in the playoffs on Tuesday. The captain couldn’t hide his feelings at the presentation.

“Feeling good now after that dreadful loss to Kings XI Punjab. Obviously Mumbai Indians rested a couple of players, but to hold them to 150 on this ground was outstanding,” Warner said.

“A lot of credit goes to the bowlers. Nadeem, to go for 19 in his four overs against a side with so many left-hand batsmen, was exceptional. There is great resilience in the side. We always put our best foot forward.

“We have a never-say-die attitude and that is how we approach each game,” Warner said.

Warner is not taking RCB lightly in the Eliminator. “RCB have a lot of dangerous players. Another do-or-die game. Hopefully we can carry the momentum from this game.”

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma termed the loss as their “worst performance of the season”.

“Not the day we want to remember,” Rohit said.

“I was happy to be back. I’m looking forward to playing a few more games here.”
