The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has a penchant for creative experimentation.

And with the ICCT20 round the corner, the BCCI unveiled the new jersey for the Team in Blues - both men and women's teams.

A photograph featuring cricketers donning the new designs was shared on social media by the board.

However, the absence of former captain Virat Kohli raises eyebrows.

The picture has current leader of the men's side Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Surya Kumar Yadav, but there is no sign of Kohli.

The poster also features women's team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and two of her teammates Shefali Verma and Sushma Verma.

BCCI wrote on Twitter, "To every cricket fan out there, this one’s for you.Presenting the all new T20 Jersey - One Blue Jersey by @mpl_sport. #HarFanKiJersey #TeamIndia #MPLSports #CricketFandom."

Well, inquisitiveness is bound to creep in, you can't help.

But one guesses, the higher authorities will have an answer to clear the air.
