Google is offering generative AI tools to create ads and these tools can help write the headlines and descriptions as well as edit accompanying images. It’s a tool that’s for advertising agencies and businesses that don’t have in-house creative staff. Through simple text prompts, advertisers can work on the text and images.

The ad creator is coming to those who use Google’s Performance Max ad campaign product. “We announced generative AI features in Performance Max at Google Marketing Live earlier this year and today we are starting to roll them out as a beta to all customers in the US. This will make Performance Max even better at helping marketers scale and build high-quality assets that drive performance,” said the company.

The tool will ensure that it doesn’t generate two of the same images because if that happens then two competing businesses will end up with similar creatives.

The editor can also be used to update existing visual ads, which can be something like changing the background of an image.
