Parno and Sohini enthral in ‘Bonbibi’ teaser

A stark portrayal of the Sundarbans and powerful cast make the film a must watch

Sundarbans — is the place just about the picture postcard views, a hope of catching a glimpse of the Royal Bengal Tiger, cruising on the water and tick marking a must-visit place on the bucket list? Not really. Or at least, the tale of Bonbibi — Goddess of the Jungle gives a different narrative. 

Sneak peek of the work of fiction sends ripples of eeriness down the spine, and Parno Mittrah and Sohini Sarkar enthral with their acting prowess in the teaser. The Rajdeep Ghosh directorial weaves a macabre and stark portrayal of survival in the Sundarbans, and the cinematography gives a theatre-like aura.

Parno plays the role of Resham, a tourist guide in the film. The story that starts with a British family visiting the Sundarbans soon gets murkier. 

Bonbibi — Goddess of the Jungle releases on March 1. Save the date.
