Actor-doctor Trinetra Haldar has special message for Pride Month

A video by the US Embassy in India, featuring Tinetra, celebrates Pride Month with an empowering message

Individuals and brands support Pride Month in different ways. Some change their display images and some launch campaigns. The US Embassy in India did it its own way with a message from a popular queer icon. 

On a recent reel uploaded on their Instagram, actor, content creator and doctor Tinetra Haldar sends out a message to the queer community, especially kids still navigating their queer journey. She emphasises how “you can be everything society says you can’t be.” She even shares her own experience about how her family took 15 years to understand that she is their daughter. She explains how transitions and acceptance can be slow, but they have the entire community fighting for them. 

Trinetra gained widespread recognition on social media for sharing her experiences as a transwoman. Her relatable stories quickly resonated with many, leading to numerous collaborations and a notable role as Meher Chaudhary in Season 2 of Made In Heaven. Beyond her acting achievements, Trinetra is a doctor and a dedicated transgender activist, tirelessly advocating for the rights and acceptance of the queer and trans community, and using her platform to educate and inspire others toward a more inclusive society.
