The Little Mermaid’s teaser trailer brings back nostalgia

The live-action adaptation will hit theatres on May 26, 2023

Disney’s centenary celebrations have kicked off early, as Walt Disney Studios dropped a teaser trailer for The Little Mermaid, a live-action remake of the 1989 animated classic. 

Set to release in theatres on May 26, 2023, this Rob Marshall directorial will reinvent the iconic musical with new songs. Although not much is disclosed in the clip, Halle Bailey looks stunning as Ariel, as does the rich world under the sea. With the cast also comprising Javier Bardem and Awkwafina, this one promises to be a quality remake. We can’t wait to watch the nostalgic magic unfold next year.
