The trailer of Disney + Hotstar’s Patna Shuklla opens with a classic misdirection. Raveena Tandon plays Tanvi Shuklla, a coy housewife who serves guests food and is praised for her culinary gifts. Except, she isn’t just a homemaker. The trailer quickly switches gears to show that Tanvi is also a lawyer, whose life changes when she takes up the case of a student who has been wronged by a roll number scam. What follows is a play of politics, power, corruption, as a determined woman presents arguments in the pursuit of justice. Will Tanvi win the case? We’ll have to wait till March 29 to find out.
