Manoj Bajpayee creates double trouble in ‘Killer Soup’ trailer

The crime-thriller series by Abhishek Chaubey is Netflix’s first Hindi original of 2024

Netflix is starting 2024 with a bang. And it includes two powerhouse performers — Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sen Sharma starring in one of the New Year-special releases. The streaming platform unveiled the trailer for the upcoming crime-thriller series, Killer Soup, and the trailer promises an interesting watch.  

My Kolkata enlists five reasons why Killer Soup should be on your watchlist:

1. The official trailer that dropped on January 3 opens with the iconic lines of A.R. Rahman’s Tu Hi Re from Bombay (1998). So you’re guaranteed good music
2. Two Manoj Bajpayees. Yes. Two
3. The plot teases a tasty comedy of errors, with Konkona Sensharma playing a chef, torn between her affection for her soup, and two men, both of whom are played by Bajpayee. How do you pick one?
4. Director Abhishek Chaubey has said that this show will blend multiple genres, including crime, comedy and thriller. And subvert every single genre. So, be prepared for the unexpected
5. Thankfully, the wait is short, with the series set to premiere on January 11
