When we think of chess and Indian Grandmasters, Vishwanathan Anand often comes to mind. But how many of us are familiar with the story of another Grandmaster from north Kolkata — Surya Shekhar Ganguly? Dabaru, directed by Pathikrit Basu, delves into the trials and tribulations of this 41-year-old Grandmaster and his journey to success. The film stars Rituparna Sengupta, Chiranjit, and Dipankar De in prominent roles. The pre-teaser poster launch was graced by both Viswanathan Anand and Surya Sekhar Ganguly and we can’t wait to catch the film in theatres on May 10.
