Akshay Kumar is back with Priyadarshan for ‘Bhooth Bangla’

After more than a decade, the actor and director duo are back as shooting begins for the upcoming horror-comedy flick

They made you laugh in Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. After 14 years,  Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are working together again for 2026 release Bhooth Bangla, and fans are looking forward to what they hope will be another laugh riot blockbuster. 

The film was announced on September 9, 2024, and the latest update from Khiladi Kumar himself is that he has begun shooting for the film from December 10. The actor also shared a new poster of the film in which he can be seen in front of the bungalow with a lantern, wearing a rather quirky set of clothes. The tie from the motion poster that was unveiled on announcement day remains constant, so does the waistcoat. 

Akshay Kumar also announced the release date of Bhooth Bangla — April 2, 2026 — in his new post, promising a “darr aur hasi ka double dose” (a double dose of horror and comedy). Are you saving the date already?
