When in Amritsar, sample the chef-favourite ‘Kulfa’

No, it is not ‘kulfi, and Chefs Vikas Khanna and Saransh Goila seem to love it!

Love desserts? Travelling to Amritsar? Make sure to include sampling the Kulfa in your itinerary. The Amritsari street-food dessert pick is a huge hit with Chef Saransh Goila and Chef Vikas Khanna, who recently sampled it when they were in town. The late-night dessert party was to celebrate the launch of Goila’s new outlet of his restaurant chain Goila Butter Chicken and Vikas’s mother Bindu Khanna also joined them.

So what is a Kulfa? Well, it seems to be a delightful mix of phirni, kulfi, falooda and rabdi. Sarnash not only shared glimpses of him and Vikas enjoying their respective plates of Kulfa, but also the ingredients that make the “bowl of heaven”, as he called it.
