Here’s a glimpse from Amitav Ghosh’s Italy trip

Amitav Ghosh is living our Italian vacation dream, and how! The author is at the iconic Museo Egizio aka Egyptian Museum at Turin, surrounded by ancient artefacts from the massive civilization. Taking to Instagram, Ghosh shared a snippet of a regal statue of Isis that has been displayed at the museum. He admired its beauty and finishing, that has endured for 4,000 years. 

The author has been basking in the glory of his latest novel, Smoke and Ashes: A Writer’s Journey Through Opium’s Hidden Histories, based on the history of opium, and doubling up as a fitting background to his Ibis Trilogy.
