Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s office has a coveted ‘gullak’

Despite being one of the most revolutionary filmmakers in Bollywood, Vidhu Vinod Chopra holds on to humility, as seen in the latest Instagram post by his production house. 

It shared a picture of Chopra’s desk, which is adorned by a piggy bank or gullak as it is affectionately called, adding that every time anyone learns something from him, they put Rs 20 in it as gurudakshina! Chopra touted this tradition as a huge motivator which keeps him making meaningful and powerful cinema. Having learnt a few things from his films, we’d definitely like to make a contribution too.
