Fanboy Parambrata meets cricket icon Wasim Akram

The chance-meeting made for a cutest post from the actor — and we can relate!

“#eternalfanboy” —- that’s how Parambrata Chattopadhyay described his chance meeting with veteran cricketer Wasim Akram at the Chicago airport lounge. The Tollywood actor who was recently in the USA to attend the North American Bengali Conference (NABC), and was also joined by his wife Piya Chakraborty for a holiday, was returning to India yesterday when the actor had the opportunity of meeting the former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team. Parambrata posted the selfie with Wasim Akram on Instagram, along with a couple of glimpses of the airport lounge. 

“...I’m on my way back home and was chilling at the Chicago airport lounge, when I met the legend (in the third photograph, swipe right two times!) and couldn’t resist requesting him for a selfie (and I’m not big on selfies, even in the best of companies !) ! This one had to be done! @wasimakramliveofficial shall forever remain a fan sir! And thanks for honouring my request!...” wrote Parambarata on Instagram. The post has received more than 4,000 likes on Instagram so far, with Parambrata looking dapper in a navy blue tee, and the Pakistani cricket commentator and coach keeping it cool in black.
