Sunil Gavaskar saw a railway station go ‘Sachin, Sachin!’

The cricketer shared a picture with a familiarly named station near Surat

For over two decades, every cricket stadium and every home had just one consistent chant, whenever a short man with big dreams walked out to bat. 

Sunil Gavaskar lit up our day with his recent Instagram post, stumbling upon a railway station titled, ‘Sachin’, near Surat. The cricketer even lauded the people for their foresight in naming the station after Sachin Tendulkar before he became a legendary figure, adding that he wasn’t just Gavaskar’s favourite cricketer, but his favourite person too. We certainly echo the sentiment!
