Prosenjit and Srabanti’s ‘Devi Chowdhurani’ poster unveiled!
Bengali film buffs, are you ready for a period film?
Prosenjit and Srabanti Chatterjee have joined forces for Devi Chowdhurani: Bandit Queen of Bengal — one of the most awaited projects of 2025. The official poster of the film has been unveiled recently, and it presents the Tollywood superstars in the film avatars —- Bhavanicharan Pathak and Devi Chowdhurani. Devi Chowdhurani is based on Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel of the same name, and showcases the journey of Prafulla into becoming Devi Chowdhurani —- an iconic woman in the history of Bengal.
The film also has Sabyasachi Chakrabarty as Haraballabh Rai, Arjun Chakrabarty as Rangaraj, Darshana Banik as Sagar, and Kinjal Nanda in the role of Brojeswar, among others. It has been directed by Subhrajit Mitra. Devi Chowdhurani marks Sabyasachi Chakrabarty’s return to the silver screen after a hiatus, and him working with his son Arjun.
