Bengali hit ‘Posto’ gets a hindi remake, ‘Shastry Virudh Shastry’

Mimi Chakraborty revealed the poster for the Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee directorial starring Paresh Rawal

Mimi Chakraborty recently unveiled the official poster for Shastry Virudh Shastry, Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s Hindi remake of Posto. Besides Chakraborty, the film stars Paresh Rawal in Soumitra Chatterje’s role from the Bengali version, along with Shiv Panditt, Neena Kulkarni and Manoj Joshi. Based on the legal battle between grandparents and parents for a child’s custody, the original film dealt with complex themes and examined the nuances of familydynamics. While an official date is yet to be announced, Shastry Virudh Shastry will come to theatres in 2023 itself.
