Director Hansal Mehta shared pic with Jigna Vora and Karishma Tanna on Instagram

Baskin in on the acclaim being showered on Netflix’s new crime drama, Scoop, Hansal Mehta has taken to Instagram to appreciate the two women at the centre of the story. 

The director shared a picture with Jigna Vora, the crime reporter who authored the autobiographical Behind Bars in Byculla, documenting her experience in jail. The picture also has Karishma Tanna, who played Vora on the show. This unique overlap of real and reel added a lot of weight to the show, and reminded us of the power of telling a human story.
