What if Hirak Rajar Deshe is reimagined with popular Bollywood actors? Who would be Hirak Raja, Goopy Gyne and Bagha Byne? What if Pankaj Tripathi is the Raja and Vicky Kaushal and Rajpal Yadav play Goopy and Bagha?

If you are wondering if the Satyajit Ray classic is being remade, unfortunately no. But, Sahid SK, an artificial intelligence enthusiast digital creator has reimagined the characters with the help of AI and Photoshop, and the results are interesting.

Other than Hirak Raja and Goopy-Bagha, the creator has imagined Manoj Bajpayee as Udayan Pandit, Sunil Grover as Vidushak, Sanjay Mishra and Raghubir Yadav as the ministers, Ashutosh Rana as the courts astrologer, Anupam Kher as the scientist and Paresh Rawal as the court poet. 

If Hirak Rajar Deshe, a dystopian fantasy film made in 1980 and starring Soumitra Chatterjee, Utpal Dutt, Rabi Ghosh and Tapen Chatterjee, was made today and in Hindi or any other language other than Bengali — how do you think would it be?
