Hello world, meet Dua Padukone Singh…

A Diwali debut for the Padukone-Singh family’s newest star has fans buzzing with excitement

On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Bollywood’s newest parents, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, introduced the world to a glimpse of their daughter and unveiled her name. The proud mum and dad have named their little munchkin Dua Padukone Singh. Deepika took to Instagram to share a photograph of their daughter’s feet, dressed in a red salwar kameez.

“‘Dua’: meaning a prayer,” wrote Deepika, revealing their child’s name. “Because she is the answer to our prayers,” the Fighter and Singham Again actress added on Instagram.

Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot on 14 November 2018 and became parents on 8 September 2024. After becoming a mother, the actress — who will next appear in The Intern and Brahmastra Part Two: Dev — updated her Instagram bio to “Feed. Burp. Sleep. Repeat.”

The doting dad, Ranveer, will next be seen in Dhurandhar and was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and recently, in Singham Again.
