Ayushmann pens a poem for our cricketing heroes, while Virat dedicates WC win to Anushka

Instagram lit up following India’s emphatic win over South Africa

June 29 will be etched in every Indian cricket fan’s memory for a long, long time. Not only did India finally bag an ICC trophy after 11 long years, but also healed the wounds of last year’s ODI World Cup. Rohit Sharma and his men gave the country much to celebrate after clinching victory from the jaws of defeat. The Man of the Match, Virat Kohli, dedicated this trophy to wife Anushka Sharma, penning an emotional Instagram post for her, adding that she keeps him humble and grounded with her absolute honesty. The accompanying picture shows the happy couple enjoying a sunset with a carefree laugh. 

Ayushmann Khurrana also had a special message for the Men in Blue, penning a beautiful moment that captures the team’s contributions. From Virat’s epic knock during the final to Hardik’s amazing comeback after a harsh IPL and Rohit’s takedown of the Aussies, Ayushmann perfectly captured how everyone’s individual brilliance came together in the tournament. Thank you Team India, for a lifetime of memories!
