With author Hilary Mantel’s tragic passing earlier this week, we can’t think of a better way to pay tribute to her than to dive into her Booker Prize-winning novel, Wolf Hall.

Often regarded as one of the best historical literary works, Wolf Hall is the fictionalised biography of Thomas Cromwell, covering his rise to power between 1500 and 1535. The first of a trilogy, this empathetic-yet-funny novel is so tightly written, that even 650 pages pass in a breeze.
