Love reading books or thinking of getting in the habit of reading? Take inspiration from Ananya Panday and Navya Naveli Nanda. The two friends went out buying books followed by a chai date with delish cheese toast. Here are some places in Kolkata, where you can buy books and chill over some finger food and beverages. Read on…

  • Bahrison’s Bookstore: While you buy your favourite reads from Bahrison's Park Street, you can chill at Blue Tokai and taste some savoury treats at Suchali's Artisan Bakehouse
  • Oxford Bookstore: Get a wide range of books and lounge at the Cha Bar on Park Street over a cup of coffee and some sandwiches
  • Starmark: Shop at South City Mall and visit Starmark for your books. You can satiate your hunger pangs at the Coffee World opposite to it or at the food court
  • Abhijan Book Cafe: Scouting for Bengali books at College Street and craving lebu cha? Abhijan Book Cafe is a perfect place
  • Annaja: Need some cookbooks by stalwarts like Pragasundari Debi and Purnima Thakur? You’ll get them at Annaja. The quaint little cafe at Hindustan Park also serves food and beverage all throughout the week and hosts private table on the weekends
