Vidya Balan has knocked it out of the park yet again with her social media game, this time choosing two of the most iconic female television characters for her gag. 

The actor’s recent Instagram reel shows her in a dual role, as Hansa Parekh from Khichdi, and Maya Sarabhai from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Balan expertly balances the enthusiastic naivety of Hansa with the elite condescension of Maya, playing off their respective personas to create comedic gold. The hyper desi-ness of Hansa works really well with Maya’s polished demeanour, and we can see this becoming a full-fledged series! Interestingly, Hansa and Maya were played by real-life sisters, Supriya Pathak and Ratna Pathak Shah.
