Create a herb garden with your dad at home

Do you know what can be the best gift for your dad apart from all the goodies this Father's Day? Some quality time spent together. If you have memories from your childhood where you and your dad worked together on several DIY projects, then it is time again to relive those lovely memories. This time, try your hands at planting a few easy-to-grow herbs in your kitchen garden, terrace or balcony. There are several herbs that are easy to grow in our Indian climate. Here are a few you can plant this Father’s Day and later use in your recipes!
- Mint: Can be grown from sprigs or seeds bought from the nurseries
- Parsley: Easily grown from seeds
- Coriander: Plant the roots or buy seeds
- Rosemary: Can be grown from cuttings by growing roots in water
- Garlic greens: Garlic cloves can be used
- Lemongrass: You will need the stalk ends for plantation
- Tulsi: Use seeds from stores or stem cutting
