Masterchef Nayanjyoti Saikia’s latest reel is a must watch for any bazaar enthusiast and foodie. The popular chef taking a tour of a local market, 88 km from Meghalaya, has resulted in an insightful tutorial on market haul and organic produce. Some of the ingredients featured in the reel are Weeping Milkcap Mushroom, chestnuts, Sohiong — a Meghalayan cherry, Meghalayan pears, Chanterelle Mushroom, Oak Leaf Lettuce, Ghost Pepper, Sichuan Pepper, Bird Eye Chillies and more. 

A sneak peek into a local market in Meghalaya — the hustle and bustle, glimpses of local people, the abundance of organic vegetables and a wide variety of mushrooms — will make any foodie or culinary enthusiast excited, thinking of various permutations and combinations to create new and familiar recipes.
