Ganesh Chaturthi & modak are synonymous, writes Sneha Singhi Upadhaya in her recent Instagram post, where she gives her followers a quick modak recipe. Calling it her cheat recipe, the chef whips up a batch of modak in two minutes that requires no cooking… and we assume even less cleaning.

She mixes a batch of granulated cashew/almonds, sugar and elaichi powder along with a bit of water to make these Ganesh Chaturthi treats. Along her post, she explains the different steps of blitzing the nuts, applying ghee to the modak moulds and garnishing the finished treat with some saffron and silver vark. We don’t know about you, but we are ready to get our hands dirty for a few minutes if it means there’s a modak waiting for us at the end!
