Beat the winter blues with a strong cup of ginger tea

Banglar Rannaghor has an easy six-step recipe for you

An aromatic cup of ginger tea is all the warmth you need this season and Banglar Rannaghor has a neat recipe for us!

Ingredients:

  • Water: 2 cups
  • Sugar: 1.5 teaspoons
  • Cinnamon: 2 
  • Cloves: 2 
  • Ginger: 1 tbsp ginger
  • Cardamom: 1
  • Lime juice: ½ a lime 
  • Mint leaves: 1 sprig
  • Tea leaves: 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Boil water with cinnamon, cloves and ginger for two mins.
  2. Cover the vessel and allow it to simmer for two more minutes.
  3. Then add some tea leaves and allow the tea to simmer on low for three minutes.
  4. Next, add cardamom and turn off the heat. Allow the tea to percolate.
  5. In a glass, squeeze out the lime and then pour out the tea.
  6. Garnish with the mint leaves and your tea is ready!
