The National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) is bringing the first-ever Urban Climate Film Festival to Kolkata from June 3 to 5, at Nazrul Tirtha, in New Town. The objective of the festival is to use films to enlighten audiences about the environmental, social and economic impacts of climate change on urban settlements, while encouraging citizens to undertake ‘environmentally responsible behaviours’.  Sixteen films from 12 countries will be screened at the festival, along with Q&A sessions with the filmmakers. The festival will conclude with World Environment Day celebrations and a special closing ceremony.

Entry to the festival is free and open to all.
