Then you will want to know more about Julia Margaret Cameron, the Victorian portrait photographer whose work in the 1860s-1870s is widely exhibited across the world today. Few know that Cameron was born, baptised and even married in Kolkata. Telling us more about Cameron and tracing her footsteps in the City of Joy will be Jane Richter, who lives next to Cameron’s former residence on the Isle of Wight and has extensively researched the iconic photographer’s life and works.
